Annual Physical Exams
Physical exams can detect "silent killers" like Heart disease, diabetes, and small cancerous tumors cannot be detected without a physical exam by a trained physician. Usually, there are no symptoms until the disease has progressed enough to have caused serious damages like heart attack, stroke, or even cancer.
A complete yearly medical exam with blood tests, urine analysis and EKG can reveal if the patient is at risk for developing heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease and cancer. It takes about 30 minutes of your time, and within a few days, you will know with certainty, your health condition.
Our clinic does annual school physical, sports physical exam and we are centrally located for Lewisville, Denton, Carrollton ISD sports physicals and Flower Mound school physical exams.
Exercise Physicals
For adults, it is also important to get a physical exam before starting a new exercise regimen. Our clinic provides healthy weight loss consultations and diabetes testing.
Medical Annual Physical Exam and lab work are recommended on case by case for new patients: About 600,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year. 715,000 Americans have a heart attack. High blood pressure, high LDL cholesterol, and smoking are risk factors for heart disease, and about half of Americans (49%) have at least one of these three risk factors. To reduce your risk, talk to your doctor about your medications and health issues, eat a healthy diet, exercise as often as you can, consume alcohol in moderation and avoid smoking.
Blood Tests are done on most patients as needed depending on the reason for the medical visit. The Complete Blood Count (CBC) screens for anemia, infection, inflammation, bleeding disorders, leukemia, and other conditions. Sometimes tests are ordered for the thyroid, PSA, and other specific health issues. A urinalysis test detects signs of bladder infection, diabetes, kidney disease, liver disease, and dehydration.
Female Medical Exam:
We have female Doctors who assess Women for clinical breast examination, and pap smear as needed. A mammogram is ordered for patients over the age of 40. Approximately one in eight women will have a diagnosis of breast cancer in their lifetime. Early detection is especially important for treatment of any breast disease!
Male Medical Exam:
Men need to have their testicles examined, tested for prostate cancer regularly and test for Erectile dysfunction and low Testosterone. A lot of men are dealing with the issue of poor sexual performance silently.
WE CAN HELP TO BRING THE JOY OF FEELING LIKE A REAL MAN IN BED BACK.
After the Exam
One of our staff will call to notify the patient that their results is back and if the lab is abnormal, the patient will be advised to come into the clinic and discuss the abnormal result with the Doctor and for the Doctor to start the appropriate treatment or referral.
